Process Development: User Acceptance Testing |
| |
| |
User Acceptance Testing is similar to
System-Wide Testing, except the testing is conducted by the software user.
The purpose of User Acceptance Testing is
to validate the complete software system - to ensure that it is functioning in
accordance with the business rules as defined in the Requirements
phase. This testing can usually be conducted in one ore more cycles
(iterations of tests).
For smaller projects, User Acceptance
Testing may also be combined with the System-Wide testing, with approval of the
software user. If these two phases are combined, then both the
development team and user team would conduct the testing together.
